** Building Notice **

Resident Emergency Procedures Training *SAVE THE DATE*  Do you know what to do in case of earthquake, fire, power outage, bomb threat, and medical emergency? Attend the Emergency Procedures Training to find out. Training will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 6:00 PM in the Elleven Lobby. The Annual Fire Drill will take place on May 18 at 4:30 PM. If you are in the building when the fire drill is being conducted, it is MANDATORY that you participate.

Construction Projects in the Building – We have several submittals for in-unit construction throughout the building. You may hear noise related to these activities for the next few weeks. Construction is permitted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Construction is not permitted on holidays and weekends. If you hear construction related noises outside of these hours and days, please contact the front desk staff.

Dining Around Downtown Club – The Elleven Dining Around Downtown Club meets at a different downtown restaurant at 7:30 pm on the third Wednesday of every month. This month the club will meet at Sol-Agave LA LIVE, located at 800 West Olympic Boulevard, Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Your host for the evening will be Virginia Wexman and John Huntington. Elleven Lending Library Management has received a few books for the lending library, and the bookcase has been placed just outside of the garage lobby doors for everyone to enjoy. The hope is that this Little Free Library will bring a little bit of joy, and new connections with your neighbors. If you are interested in donating books, please contact management to arrange a drop-off time. We hope you can join the movement and share some books with your community.

FREE DVD Rentals for Elleven – Virginia Wexman has so graciously offered to loan DVDs to Elleven residents! Attached you will find a list of available DVDs. If any of these spark your interest, please contact Virginia Wexman at vwexman@uic.edu to place your request, she will then drop off said DVD at the front desk for you to collect.

Earth Day – E-Waste Recycling Program – Take your cracked phones, broken laptop chargers, and other e-waste, and SPBID will make sure they’re recycled or disposed of safely. Items can be dropped off at 1150-B S Hope Street (back entrance off of 12th St.) from April 22 – May 1, Monday-Friday from 4:00 -7:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am -1:00 pm.

The California Primary is June 7! – The California Primary is fast approaching. The last day to register to vote or make any updates is May 23. Let’s strengthen our community by voting!

Nuisance & Noise Policy Reminder! – Management has noticed an increase in the number of noise complaints being reported. We would like to take this time to remind residents of Elleven’s Noise & Nuisance Policy. In accordance with the Association’s CC&R’s, no resident may cause or permit to be cause anything which may become a nuisance or cause unreasonable disturbance or annoyance to other residents. The Association has adopted the attached policy as a reasonable interpretation of that restriction. It is important to note that many residents are likely to keep different hours. We ask all residents to please be mindful of their neighbors, especially during the evening and overnight hours.

Face Coverings – Masks – As we continue to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic, we ask that you adhere to the Association’s mask-wearing rule while in the association’s common areas regardless of vaccination status. This includes but is not limited to the lobby, elevators, and hallways. Please keep in mind this is a requirement for all residents of Elleven and your guests so please don’t forget your masks and remind your guests that they will need one should they wish to enter the building.

Holiday Tree Disposal Bin – Tree bins will be provided for the disposal of your Christmas tree beginning Monday, January 3rd. The bin will be located on the 2nd floor and will remain on site until Wednesday, January 12th, 2022. Please use a tree bag when moving the tree.

Garage Safety Reminders – Safety & Security: Residents should practice their safety and security by taking precautions such as, reporting anyone who is acting in a suspicious manner, always locking your vehicles, and keeping all valuables out of sight. Please be very careful when driving through the parking garage. It is extremely important that everyone adheres to the posted 5 mph speed limit and observe all STOP signs.

Holiday Hope Donation Drive! – Elleven HOA has partnered with the South Park BID to bring you the Holiday Hope Donation Drive. During this holiday season, we will be collecting hygiene packs for the homeless. We ask that all donations be placed in gallon size Ziploc bags and be placed in the wicker basket located in the lobby.

Holiday Packages – The holiday season is here, and we are expecting a significant increase of package deliveries. In an effort to provide you with better service, we request you contact the desk prior to your arrival so we can have all packages ready for you. Additionally, we ask for all residents to take careful note and adhere to the guidelines listed in the Holiday Package notice.

Walkie-Talkie A Social Exercise Event RETURNS! – Lace-up your shoes and get ready for a walking tour of scenic DTLA Sunday, December 12 at 9:00 am. This two-hour stroll will start at the Blue Wishbone located at South Park Commons. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, you may need a face mask and will need to show proof of the Covid-19 vaccine to enter some locations. The group size will be limited, so please RSVP. Exterior Window Cleaning*Update* – The exterior window & balcony railing cleaning is underway! Cleaning of the Northside of the building (facing 11th Street) along with the Northeast balcony railings was finalized today 11/28. Theproject has moved on to the Eastside of the building (facing Grand Ave.) and will continue to proceed clockwise each day from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, wrapping up on November 6. Please note that the completion date is an approximate time and may change due to unforeseen circumstances. You may request a window cleaning schedule with Elleven Staff ellevenstaff@actionlife.com

Exterior Window Cleaning**Update** – The exterior window & balcony railing cleaning is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, October 25, and continue for approximately two weeks, wrapping up on November 6. The project will begin on the north end of the building (Facing 11th Street), and proceed clockwise each day from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Please note that the completion date is an approximate time and may change due to unforeseen circumstances.Residents will be notified via email and schedules will be posted on the residential bulletin boards.

FREE DVD Rentals for Elleven – Virginia Wexman has so graciously offered to loan DVDs to Elleven residents! Attached you will find a list of available DVDs. If any of these spark your interest, please contact Virginia Wexman at vwexman@uic.edu to place your request, she will then drop off said DVD at the front desk for you to collect.

South Park BID “Coffee with a Cop” – Coffee with a Cop is an opportunity to get to know the officers serving the community, ask questions, and discuss issues. This event will be held Wednesday, October 20 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Starbucks located on 11th & Grand Ave. Complimentary coffee will be served!

SPBID Outdoor Live Music Series – SPBID will be hosting a series of casual outdoor performances every Friday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at South Park Commons. All of the music will be low-key and family-friendly and will be shutting down long before bedtime. Social distancing will be expected and enforced by South Park BID. Window Cleaning **Update**

Greetings Residents, Due to necessary repairs the exterior window & balcony railing cleaning has been postponed. The maintenance will now begin Monday, October 25, and continue for approximately two weeks, wrapping up on November 6. The project will begin on the north end of the building (Facing 11th Street), and proceed clockwise each day from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Attached you will find a preliminary schedule. Please note that the completion date is an approximate time and may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Residents will be notified via email and schedules will be posted on the residential bulletin boards.
