Resident Emergency Procedures Training & Annual Fire Drill 11/11/2020

DO YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF A FIRE OR EARTHQUAKE?

Attend the Emergency Procedures Training to find out! Training will be held via ZOOM Wednesday, November 11 at 6:00 pm.

Safety training will include what to do in case of: 

Earthquake

Fire

Power Outage

Bomb Threat

Medical Emergency

Elleven Homeowners Association is also required by the LAFD to conduct a fire drill annually pursuant to L.A.M.C. 57.33.19 and Title 19, C.A.C.

The Annual Fire Drill will take place on Wednesday, November 11 at 4:30 pm

If you are in the building when the fire drill is being conducted, it is MANDATORY that you participate. Non-participation in the fire drill may result in penalties from the fire department.

If you cannot participate in the fire drill due to physical limitations, please notify Management in advance so that arrangements can be made to assist you during the fire drill, and in an actual emergency. REG-4 FIRE & LIFE SYSTEM TESTING 9/28/2020

Attention Elleven Residents,

The City of Los Angeles Fire Department requires high-rise buildings to conduct annual tests of the fire/life safety systems in the building. Please be aware that we will be conducting this important testing as follows:

Monday, September 28, 2020 Hours: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Unplug or turn off all computers, appliances, or anything that may be susceptible to DAMAGE OR LOSS OF DATA due to POWER INTERRUPTION! 

MAIN POWER SUPPLY to the building will be interrupted at various times throughout the day in order to test the emergency power generation system. 

GARAGE FIRE DOORS are included in this testing and will immediately drop once testing begins. Please use caution while navigating the garage area and expect periodic delays. 

ELEVATORS will be briefly out of service while the power is off in order to test the recall system. Each elevator will be recalled to the lobby level twice during this test. Once this phase of the testing is completed the elevators will return to service, however periodic delays are expected. 

FIRE ALARMS AND STROBES will be activated throughout the building, and announcements will be made over the building-wide PA system. Each floor will be tested independently.

The Association has retained the services of a professional consulting firm certified by the LAFD to conduct the test and provide the necessary reports to the Fire Department.

Virtual Hearing – Proposed Night Life Venue at 1036 S. Grand 

Management has received notification of a possible nightlife venue being proposed for 1036 S. Grand Avenue (next to Ten50) the planning department is holding a virtual public hearing on the matter. Pets on the Terrace

We’ve received reports of increased dog activity on the terrace. While dogs are allowed on the terrace, we ask that you be considerate of your neighbors and abide by the rules. 1) The terrace is not designed to be used as your pet’s bathroom break area. If your pet does have an accident especially in high traffic areas, please completely clean up after your pet and immediately notify a staff member so it can be properly cleaned. Please take your pets to an outside area for regular bathroom breaks. 2) Pets are not allowed in the planters. 3) Pets must be on a short leash, and under complete control of their handler at all times. 4) Pets must be kept off all furniture.

Building Notices

Weekly Announcements 09/20/2019

Greetings Elleven Residents! Please take a moment to review the following building and community announcements.

Construction Projects in the Building – We have several submittals for in unit construction throughout the building. You may hear noise related to these activities for the next few weeks. Construction is permitted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Construction is not permitted on holidays and weekends. If you hear construction related noises outside of these hours and days, please contact the front desk staff.

Dining Around Downtown Club – The club will meet at The Stanton DTLA, located at 1050 S Flower Street #167, Wednesday, October 16th. A hosted reception will start at 7:00 pm followed by the family-style dinner at 7:30pm. Your host for the evening will be Mel Lewis. All residents are encourage to attend. Please RSVP: Virginia Wexman at vwexman@uic.edu

Monthly Happy Hour – Take a break, enjoy a glass of wine and unwind with your friends and neighbors. Thursday, October 17th at 7:30 pm at Barcito located at 403 W. 12th Street (Evo). All residents are encouraged to attend!

Yoga In The Park @ South Park Commons – Start your week off right and join Yogis on the Move for a donation-based yoga class every Sunday from 4:00-5:00 pm. Please take your own mat, towel, and water.

Building Wide Hot Water Shut Off 4/18/2019 10am-4pm

Attention Residents,

Please be advised that the hot water to Elleven

will be shut off for necessary plumbing repairs on

Thursday, April 18th
From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Please note that the time is approximate and we will notify all residents as soon as repairs are complete and the water is restored.
