Building Announcements 7/23/21

** Building Notice **

Face Covering in Common Areas Rule – Reinstated – The Los Angeles Department of Public health has issued updated guidance regarding wearing face coverings while indoors. According to the guidance, all persons will now be required to wear a face-covering while indoors. This means ALL residents, guests, vendors, and building staff will be required to wear face-coverings when in the common areas. These areas include – The lobby, elevators, garage and residential hallways. This will become effective on SATURDAY, JULY 17 at 11:59 PM, per LADPH Guidance. The Board adopted a rule earlier this year requiring the wearing of face coverings when traveling in the common area. This rule will remain in effect as long as there is a mandate issued by authorities. Failure to comply can result in possible enforcement action by the Board of Directors.

Pet Parent Reminder! – As part of the community at large, we are asking residents from our three communities Evo, Elleven, and Luma, to please continue to pick up after your pets to help keep the neighborhood clean. For your convenience, if you run out of bags while on a walk you can stop at one of the local bag dispensing boxes located throughout the community and pick up a bag. Thank you for helping to keep your community clean and orderly.

Evo Courtyard Gates – The installation of the new gates/fencing in the Townhouse Courtyard located between Evo and Elleven are underway. They are working on the Grand Avenue side and will then transition to the Hope Street side. The work will continue until August 4 between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Please expect drilling and sawing noise during this time.

Construction Projects in the Building – We have several submittals for in unit construction throughout the building. You may hear noise related to these activities for the next few weeks. Construction is permitted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Note: Construction is not permitted on weekends and holidays. If you hear construction related noises outside of these hours and days, please contact the front desk staff.

**Social Committee**

Elleven Lending Library Management has received a few books for the lending library, and the bookcase has been placed just outside of the garage lobby doors for everyone to enjoy. The hope is that this Little Free Library will bring a little bit of joy, and new connections with your neighbors. If you are interested in donating books, please contact management to arrange a drop off time. We hope you can join the movement and share some books with your community.

** Community Alerts **

DTLA Marketplace – Stop by and support small businesses and local artisans and enjoy live music and food trucks at this free event. The event takes place at Metropolis located at 1100 S Olive Street on Sunday, August 1st from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For additional details and to RSVP, click HERE!

** Building Notice **

Please note that the Management and Maintenance offices will be closed Monday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.

Tree Trimming – The guava trees on the 4th Floor will be trimmed on Tuesday, July 6 at approximately 9:00 am. We ask that all residents please stay clear of the areas that are actively being trimmed.

Food Delivery Update! –  The front desk staff has resumed sending food deliveries to the unit. As before, staff will call before sending deliveries to the residential floor. If you would like your deliveries sent to your unit without a phone call, be sure to update your guest list.

Construction Projects in the Building – We have several submittals for in unit construction throughout the building. You may hear noise related to these activities for the next few weeks. Construction is permitted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Note: Construction is not permitted on weekends and holidays. If you hear construction related noises outside of these hours and days, please contact the front desk staff.

**Social Committee Events**

Dining Around Downtown Club – The Elleven Dining Around Downtown Club meets at a different downtown restaurant at 7:30 on the second Wednesday of every month. This month the club will meet at Kai’s Table, located at 1091 S. Hope, Wednesday, July 21 at 7:30pm. Your host for the evening will be Mel Lewis. Please RSVP: Virginia Wexman at vwexman@uic.edu.

Weekly Announcements June 18

** Building Notice **

Tree Trimming – The trees along Grand Avenue, 11th Street and on the 4th Floor, will be trimmed on Monday, June 21st. The trimming will begin at approximately 8:00 am and should be complete by the end of the day. We ask that all residents please stay clear of the areas that are actively being trimmed.

Face Coverings Update – Residents that are fully vaccinated (meaning it’s been at least 2 weeks since your final dose of the Covid-19 vaccine) will be able to travel throughout the building’s common areas without a mask. However, If you are traveling throughout the building’s common areas without a mask, you are attesting that you comply with CDPH and CDC vaccination guidelines. Unvaccinated individuals still need to wear a mask in indoor public settings, including places like restaurants, movie theaters, and retail shops.Currently, CalOSHA is requiring all employers and employees to maintain the wearing of masks. This means all vendors, delivery vendors, and staff will continue to wear masks while working/traveling in the building’s common areas.

The South Park Neighborhood Committee Newsletter Due to recent events, a group of highly motivated residents in the South Park District have come together to form a Neighborhood Committee. The committee is in its early stages and hopes to engage all South Park residents to identify pressing concerns and to preserve and enhance South Park living. The group consists of residents and management from four of South Park’s residential buildings, Elleven, Evo, Luma, and Ten50 totaling almost 900 units. Their mission is “to seek to utilize a united voice that has strength and influence for the mutual benefit of the South Park homeowners and residents.” They look forward to publishing a monthly newsletter. Mask Wearing in Common Areas UPDATE!

Greetings Residents,

Starting June 15, Residents that are fully vaccinated (meaning it’s been at least 2 weeks since your final dose of the Covid-19 vaccine) will be able to travel throughout the building’s common areas without a mask. Weekly Announcements 5/21/2021

**Building Notice**

Elevator 1 Update – The drive for the elevator was returned and installed this afternoon. During testing, our elevator technician observed a new issue which will require replacement of an electrical component. The parts have been rush ordered and our technician is attempting to locate a temporary part so the elevators can be returned to service. Unfortunately, elevator #1 will remain offline until early next week. Because of these recent developments, you will experience delays when calling for the elevator. Please plan accordingly. If you are planning to schedule any large deliveries this week, please contact the desk before confirmation. Any unscheduled deliveries will be refused. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience while we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

South Alley Gate Update – Please note the vendor has ordered parts for repairs and the gate will remain offline until all parts are received. Please continue to use the north entry (11th street) to enter and exit the garage. Please remember, to exercise caution as you enter and exit the parking garage. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Exterior Window Cleaning Complete – Window cleaning for the building was finalized today May 7. We ask that all residents take precautions when watering outdoor plants to prevent water from leaking onto the windows below.

Resident Emergency Procedures TrainingSAVE THE DATE!! Do you know what to do in case of earthquake, fire, power outage, bomb threat and medical emergency? Attend the Emergency Procedures Training to find out. Training will be held on Tuesday, May 18 at 6:00 PM via Zoom. Exterior Window Cleaning Exterior window & balcony railing cleaning is underway! Cleaning for all units facing Grand Avenue was finalized today 4/30. The maintenance team will return Monday, May 3, and begin cleaning all South windows (facing Evo) and proceed clockwise each day from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Window cleaning will be wrapping up the week of May 14. Please note that the completion date is an approximate time and may change due to unforeseen circumstances.Residents will be notified via email and schedules will be posted in the residential bulletin boards.

If any of these spark your interest, please contact Virginia Wexman at vwexman@uic.edu to place your request, she will then drop-off said DVD at the front desk for you to collect.

The South Park Neighborhood Committee Newsletter Due to recent events, a group of highly motivated residents in the South Park District have come together to form a Neighborhood Committee. The committee is in its early stages and hopes to engage all South Park residents to identify pressing concerns and to preserve and enhance South Park living. The group consists of residents and management from four of South Park’s residential buildings, Elleven, Evo, Luma, and Ten50 totaling almost 900 units. Their mission is “to seek to utilize a united voice that has strength and influence for the mutual benefit of the South Park homeowners and residents.” They look forward to publishing a monthly newsletter; The April Edition of the South Park Neighborhood Committee Newsletter is attached.

SPBID Outdoor Live Music Series – SPBID will be hosting a series of casual outdoor performances every Friday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at South Park Commons. All of the music will be low-key and family-friendly and will be shutting down long before bedtime. Social distancing will be expected and enforced by South Park BID. Food Trucks – The food trucks continue outside of Evo, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The food trucks will only be accepting online orders for pickup through the link provided and will not be accepting walkups. This will help prevent large crowds.
