Compost/Food Waste Disposal at Elleven– Did you know? As of summer 2023, a special receptacle was placed in the recycling room (1st-floor garage just outside the lobby) for the disposal of food waste. Composting is a natural process of breaking down organic materials, such as food scraps and yard waste, into a nutrient-rich soil amendment. This “compost” can then be used to fertilize gardens and landscaping, reducing our reliance on chemical fertilizers and promoting healthier plants.
